I\’m a huge advocate for adults getting to celebrate Halloween. The last 2 years I\’ve had the best intentions of dressing up the day of with my children and I\’ve failed both times-there’s just too much to do to get them ready! That’s why I\’m extra glad I do a Halloween party for adults-its a time to not worry about our babes and spend time dressing ourselves up! This year we went with a Masquerade theme-making it super easy for those that don’t like to dress up too much and fun for those that do. The turn out was perfect, the food was delicious and a murder was solved (kind of…this years murder mystery wasn’t my favorite. Better next year!!).
Let me just take this opportunity to sing my praises to Lyndi. I struggle to take the time to take pictures when I\’m hosting and I am SO GRATEFUL she picked up my camera and started shooting. She’s the only reason I have these!!!
Also-she brought this hunk of merman-meat:
It was all pretty magical.
My other favorite tradition that we started this year was taking everyone’s picture right when they walked it-with both their cell phones and a polaroid. We don’t get enough pictures of us as a couple so I loved this and I LOVED seeing everyone post their pic!!
Oh Halloween. You are my favorite.
