Disneyland. At Christmas. Is awesome. And overwhelming. And busy. We were very blessed to be accompanied by an extra set of adults. Since doing Disneyland with 2 kids twice now, I am absolutely sold on never going alone. I don’t think Jon and I could handle it without other adults and still have any fun. So take extra adults-even if they have kids too I think it’s worth it.
Nightmare Before Christmas has been a love of mine since it came out-so going to the haunted mansion when it’s all bedecked is my favorite.
How gorgeous is Tiana??!
While at Disneyland I wrote this article for todaysmama about the fun Christmastime treats. It was rough needing to try all of the Christmas treats so I could write about them…but I persevered, lol.
See those cowgirl boots on Stella? Those were purchased specifically for Splash Mountain. Which we snuck her on. And she wasn’t so sure about:
After changing out of her wet clothes and into her fancy dress she felt much better.
I just need to publicly thank Morgan for insisting I borrow her double stroller. Holy cow, that was a LIFESAVER. If you’re ever planning a FULL day at the park and have 2 kids-you need a double. We got there at 8 and stayed until 1 AM and by 9 PM my girls were cozy and sound asleep-it was wonderful. We were able to take turns as adults watching the parade and riding the roller coasters and shopping, all while they blissfully slept. Wonderful.
The Jungle Cruise was hilarious.
The salted caramel french macaroons were by far my favorite holiday treat in the park. They were SO good.
She was SO excited. This was the highlight of the whole trip for me. Paisley, Jon, Bob and Lyndi all went to the new Space Mountain and Stella and I went to Minnie Mouse’s house. The whole thing was a little magical too. She fell asleep on the way there and then slept in my arms through the entire line and woke up as we entered Minnie’s house. She had to touch everything and see everything and loved every minute of it. This made the whole trip worth it.
She has recently become obsessed with Minnie and I knew she would be ecstatic to meet her. So far she had been terrified of any of the other characters and I was really hopeful her love of Minnie would overcome her fear.
I was right:
See that crazy look in my eye? That’s the are you having a hundred dollars worth of fun??!?!!?!? look. I think we did.
When’s your favorite time to go to Disneyland?? We loved Thanksgiving break, but I think my fave is still Halloween.
